My wi-fi at home doesn't want to conncet to my iphone. any help?

i have recently bought an iphone 3g 8gb, on version 3.1.3, and it won't let me connect to my home's wi-fi. my laptop and computer both connect to it, and my iphone will connect tp friends wifi, but never mine! it will pick up the wifi and will say it has connected but it wont work on safari, youtube ect. is there anywayt i can connect my wifi over usb? bluetooth? any suggestions? thanx
