This actually does look like it will have some great potiential. Zoe Wannamaker is part of it too. It's apparently based on a book which is the true story RE a situation/time of the life of Marilyn Monroe.

The picture of the actress playing Marilyn looks quite like her but obviously people will judge their own on that.

Not quite sure if it's already been made or is being made as we speak but not too sure. Anyone else looking forward to this? :)

As a die hard Marilyn fan, I for one am dreading this movie. I have read the book that the film is based on ("The Prince, The Showgirl and Me") and it doesn't show Marilyn in a very good light, infact she's portrayed as quite a bitch.. which I can guarentee you is simply NOT the case.

Marilyn was a sweet, kind, caring, sensitive, intelligent, savvy business woman who was plagued with insecurities, anxieties and low self esteem. Colin Clark (the books author, who was also a tea boy on the Marilyn film: "The Prince And The Showgirl".. the book is simply his diaries from his time working on the film) makes her out to be a derranged diva, unsympathetic to anyone she may have hurt along the way in making the movie. I guess sometimes a lie is better than the truth if they think it will sell better. Also, Colin Clark liked to kiss Lawerence Olivier's ass.. and it's a well known fact that Larry and Marilyn didn't work well together, so you can see why he might take Larry's side over Marilyn's.

I can tell you now, there are very few people in the Marilyn fan camp that are looking forward to seeing this film. I suppose I'm intrigued as to how they will portray her, but I'm not holding my breath.
