me! my guys leaving in 6 days!? Okay. So I’m a sophomore, and a few weeks ago I was walking with a friend during lunch and this guy caught my eye..he was really cutee! Ive never seen him before, so it was the first time ive seen him. I was completely attracted to him, and don’t freak out, because I can tell you guys that I am definitely not the type of person to just like a guy from his looks. But this time ive found myself always thinking of him, so I decided that I needed to meet him. But we had no mutual friends whatsoever! But finally I had a friend that knew him, and it was honestly the only friend that knew him because he’s Korean and only hangs out with this secluded group of Koreans at lunch and everywhere else, not to mention hes a junior. I talked to my friend and my friend offered to introduce me at lunch, which after a lot of mulling over I finally did (I had to think, because it was plainly obvious something was up, if I just went over there one day because all the Koreans there would be like why. Is she here?).
However my friend basically had to drag me because im a total wimp. So I was standing there and the guy was sitting directly in front of me eating his lunch! So while my friend was fist pumping and saying hi to everyone I just stood there awkwardly..and after a few moments I just decided to leave except this other friend that was there with us wouldn’t let me and kind of made this not so discreet scene while trying to get me to “just say hi” and finally he told the original friend to introduce us… and so he did. And the guy was really cute about it! But I was soo embarrassed that after a few exchanges of first names and hellos I just left..
And for the next few days id see him in the hall but I never had the guts to say hi cus he always be with another korean or someone… and I wasn’t sure if we were on that basis yet… but finally I sent him a message on fb saying hey and if he still remembered me, and he replied saying ‘of course’ and how our schools too big for us to run into each other and that he hopes to see me again.
So after that I started saying hi to him when I see him. But we never actually get to talk we just say hi cus he’s always with another person I don’t kno and itd be during passing periods when we’re both going to diff classes.
Then I had my friend take me to their table again at lunch, but not before my friend was like ‘btw I told him that you liked him.’ Apparently my friend had told the guy rite after the day I was introduced and left… so he had already known even when I sent him that message on fb! So we went over there and he smiled and said ‘sup’ and I sort of just smiled and dint say anything cus I was caught of guard.. >< but afterwards he kinda left the group..so nothing else happened.
THEN. My friend tells me that hes going back to korea in a week so he made me send a message saying really embarrassing things like “I really like you. I think ur cute. Its sad that we never got to kno each other and ur moving” even tho he already knos that I like him..but like its horrible because its not something id normally do. But my friend convinced me that it was do or die cs he was moving.
However, I sent it over the weekend and he never replied… so I was ready to give up, when the beginning of this week, my friend who doesn’t kno him at all approached him at lunch w/o me knoing and pulled him aside and talked to him about me… and she said that he had said that he ‘wanted to talk to me before he leaves’
But now, since then we don’t even say hi anymore cus like whenever I walk past him, hes always talking to someone and doesn’t notice me… and I don’t wanna go to him at lunch anymore cus all his friends probably kno…but all of my friends are telling me to just go for it again and just talk to him. But I don’t kno if I should and how! Because I don’t kno how to go from making things extrememly embarrassing and akward with the message I sent that he didn’t even respond to..to just trying to strike up a casual conversation…and hes always with another guy so I don’t kno how to talk to him..but everyones saying I should because he had said even after the message incident to my friend that he ‘wanted to talk to me before he leaves’ which is going to be next Thursday… so basiicaly question: “Should I talk to him? How should I do it? If hes always around another guy during passing periods and the passing periods are short anyways… and during lunch hes around an entire group of Koreans. And if I actually do talk to him, how should the conversation go?”
I really need help! Please anyone! Help! Ive completely analyzed the situation thus far, and I really wanna kno some suggestions as to how I should talk to him, because I kno this will be something ill regret not doing once he leaves for good on thurs. ill give a shitload of points to anyone who puts in the effort to read this freaking essay I wrote haha and give me some insight!
