Okay, so I usually use pads, but I recently ran out about two days ago and decided to just try out a tampon. Now, I inserted the tampon incorrectly, of course. -___- But, I took it out and disposed of it. Although, ever since this "happening", my vagina has been getting these super sharp pains out of no where. Like, It hurts so much that it makes it hard to move and its recently made my stomach hurt ALOT. I have no idea whats going on and i'm scared to tell my mom or go to the doctor's office because i'm guessing they'd have to check that area out and i'm only 13, so thats a bit weird.

Does anyone have any idea whats going on? Like did I accidently cut myself or something? Help..

My bet is that you probably bruised your cervix. I'm sure you've bruised other parts of your body, and realize how sensitive a bruise can feel... However, the cervix is way more sensitive than any other part of the body, so bruising your cervix will feel much worse than bruising any other part of your body.

While tampons do have a risk of toxic shock syndrome, cramps are not a symptom of that. So I don't think you have toxic shock syndrome.

You could have cut yourself or just bruised yourself a bit and that might be causing the problems. Is it possible that the stomach pains are just really bad period cramps? If so then try a hot water bottle in a cover on your tummy or a nice warm bath. Sometimes tampons don't agree with girls and they get toxic shock syndrome so if your pains don't improve then I think you should see a doctor about this. Just explain in full what has happened and ask about TTS. Tell them you are nervous of examination (although I don't think they would examine straight off anyway) and they will understand as they deal with these things every day. Don't be scared to talk to your mum, she has been through all this herself and may even be able to help. Good luck.
