...after I already had paid him $2000 to fix it to begin with. The work he did took place in October 09, and I just brought my car to a different mechanic because I was having trouble with the steering. Come to find out, my uncle had wires near the gas tank attached that weren't supposed to go together, so they would spark every time you floored it. There are other things that he rigged up lazily, like using plastic bread ties instead of washers and using duct tape instead of electrical tape, but the wires were by far the most dangerous. I knew something was fishy when he was working on my car, because every time my grandfather called me to tell me what he was working on over the two-month span that my uncle had my car, he told me something different. And when I questioned my grandfather about something that didn't sound right he turned it around to make me feel like I was the stupid one, when it honestly sounded like he had no idea what he was talking about at all. So I don't know what to do, I'm really upset that I've been driving around in this deathtrap with my infant in the back seat for over a year now, but I know if I bring this up to my grandpa and uncle they'll just get defensive and turn it around on me like I don't know what I'm talking about. But I'm so mad and it doesn't seem fair that he basically put our lives in danger and I have to pay all this money to have it fixed and I'm not able to say anything about it. What do I do?
