My tv blew out but came back on, should I keep it on?

While I was watching tv, it blew out and start smelling like smoke, I unplugged it and plugged it back in and the tv came back on, should I be worried about it blowing out again? I had it for about 10 years.

Years ago we had a tv blow out, we had it repaired. About a month later we smelled smoke and looked inside the grill on the back of the tv and it was on fire. I'd say, trash the tv. It's not worth burning your house down if it fails again, and it will.

Yes, a resistor probably burned, it may fail again. If it works, still do not leave it unsupervised.
