My Touch Slide vs Vibrant

Anyone have any opinions on how these two compare? Im switching from Sprint to a Tmo employee line so im gonna be picking up one of these in the next few days. As a Shack employee I obviously have access to play with both handsets but im still seriously torn, they both have allot going for them...

The Vibrant is better on paper and that screen is awesome, but in real life the slide is faster and I love that keyboard. I really like touchwiz, and cant stand the icons on the Slide, but the rest of sense is fine. I feel like the Slide might be outdated sooner, any thoughts on that?

Also any thoughts on the build quality issues of the Slide vs the general buggyness of the Vibrant?

vibrant all the way, although my girlfriend has the slide and I've always liked HTC brand phones and versions of interface like sense for Android. Touchwiz 3. 0 is amazing vs tw 2. 0
The screen size and clarity on the vibrant is amazing and the 1ghz processor is running circles around the slide, especially on WiFi no flash on the camera is missed more for flashlight application as the camera is amazing on the vibrant even without the flash. When 2. 2 comes to the vibrant that is where the processor in it should Excel vs the slide. Also a much larger internal storage space.
 
i've had both of these phones.. and i would definitely say to get the vibrant over the mytouch slide! the only things that i liked better about the slide is: the led flash (i liked it for droidlight (a flashlight)) and hardware keyboard. but after using the hardware keyboard for a little while it gets old... soft keyboards are better imo.

once you start using the vibrant you get to take advantage of its 720p video recording, 1ghz processor and powerful GPU (makes 3D games run like its their dayjob)
 
omg are you serious? Vibrant MAN! i have it and love it! its faster, smoother, and looks better than the slide.. I had a cliq before and believe me you wont mind using the touch screen keyboard and i love SWYPE texting its so easy!
 
Who told you that? The myTouch 3G Slide gets a Linpack score of 1.6. Samsung Vibrants get a score of around 8 to 9 (5x faster). The graphics processor is around 90x faster.

I agree with all the other comments here - Vibrant all the way.

I thought I'd really miss the keyboard that I had on my G1 when I got a Samsung Galaxy S (same phone as the Vibrant pretty much). I haven't missed it at all. In fact, I reckon I can now type faster on the touch screen than I could on my G1. The touch screen on the Samsung is truly amazing.
 
Thanks guys! Decided to go with the Vibrant, grabbed one last night. My tmo sim wont be activated for another week but I got it hooked up to wifi. Its a rather amazing phone, glad I picked it. No sign of the home button issue or any other glitches yet (knock on wood).

Swype is cool, ill prob try and use that for my main keyboard. I really like the multi-touch samsung keyboard, but its a huge pain to use the comma, anyone know of a shortcut or something?
