Lelouch, in my opinion is a great anime character. The ultimate goal to him or so it seems is finding out truths and protecting his sister. This gives him the opportunity to be normal and have a bad side. (unlike so many other "perfect" anime characters like Goku etc) Lelouch never truly tries to be a savior (etc), he simply wants to achieve his ultimate goals. His goals lead him to uncharted territory where he must make sudden decisions (as i've already stated he's not perfect) and he makes mistakes, whether they seem to him as if they are mistakes or not. All in all great anime, and perfect storyline.
