My teacher says i'm a great poet are my poems okay ,good or great?

In 3rd grade that might have been good
it is in fact 3 lines that have rhyming end words..
pretty basic and not impressive to me at all..
You asked for the truth so that is what am giving you
If you are in the 7th or 8th grade you best look out because I have seen some pretty darn good poems from kids that age and yours looks like 0 comparatively...

check out this girl in the link I provided .. now that is great poetry for a student her age.

i think it depends on how old you are too.
If you want us to rate how good you are with poems you should probably post your BEST poem not something you do on the offhand.
Personally, with only this poem to judge you on it's pretty bad.
The words rhyme but there is no rhythm or flow and the meaning is only one layer.
 
It sounds like a teenager or preteen poem, but it's a good start! It's not bad, but I'm sure once you keep at it, you will be able to make the words flow better. :)
