My taste in music is better than yours...

But music is subjective. I don't really like when people say that a band is **** just because its not particularly their "cup of tea". And unfortunately that seems to happen a lot.
 
why should anyone be a food snob...? its just food...as long as you like it why should u care if anyone else likes it...?

so i think his analogy doesnt fail, its just not as effective at showing his true meaning

My opinion has always been if a person has to trot out this turd of an answer to justify anything then it does make me wonder why they signed up to discuss & debate music in the first place.

I can give credit to music I don't like , at the same token everybody knows i'm the biggest Fall fanboy on this damn forum yet i've often called their Cerebral Caustic & Are You The Missing Winner albums total sh*t. And I think there are a lot more people on this forum who have that attitude than the original post gives credit to.

Ah, I found the first few big paragraphs a lot easier to read than the sketch itself tbh. :(

And my music taste is terrible: it includes synth pop, black metal, cheesy trance, noise/drone, etc. If anyone slagged me off for it, then they surely have that right. If some cases, I'll definitely agree with them, but I won't change it. Similarly, if some people love Nickelback, then good for them: I will give my opinion of them, but I won't require that they change their tastes to suit my views.

And variety in food is a good thing, in general... :thurab:

I mean, what if someone forces me to defend my love for
Big Black... they might say "its harsh, cold, abrasive and nihilistic
and its amelodic just a load of noise." I would say sure (for the most part),
but that's why I love them. Everything you say is true,
but for you it makes them "bad" and for me it makes them "good."

This argument should end. Music is subjective. Get over it.
 
Agree there is a lot of talented and creative banRAB that I just don't like listen to do but it doesn't mean anything at all it's just not my cub of tea .
But I respect them and the people who listen to them

Just like there is a few very non talent banRAB that I listen to because I enjoy them .
