Whenever I want to rearrange the tabs in Google Chrome (click and drag them to a new position in the tab bar), they will not move. They instead break off from Chrome and open themselves as a new window entirely. Please help me fix this.
I feel it's worth mentioning, I am not accidentally dragging them down and separating them that way. I'm dragging them straight across the tab bar, perfectly horizontal. Also, when a tab becomes detached, I can reattach it to the tab bar. Once I have tried (and always fail) to move a tab, it becomes permanently separated from the original Chrome window.
I mistyped that statement about reattaching the tabs. I actually cannot reattach those tabs once they've been removed.
