Recently my philips surround sound has stopped playing output from my freeview, and my television, nor does it play the radio. The only thing that works is the actual dvd player itself.
So all the speakers work fine but when on TV, AUX or radio, the only sound coming from the speakers is a very high pitched screeching noise.
I have checked all the leads which connect my freeview to my surround, and also normal tv on the surround sound, and the leads seem to be fine.
i have also tried my ipod from my Surround and switched to AUX and that doesn't work either, meaning that has nothing to do with the TV, i just get the high pitched screeching noise again.
the only thing i can think of is the output from my tv to the surround sound is broke. however, freeview works fine on the speakers from the tv.
can anybody tell me why this is happening, or if you don't understand what im asking, just ask n i will try to make it clearer.
I have been told that i need a coax cable? but is ther any specific type i need to buy and where do i connect the leads to and from?
