My stereo will only play the ipod on the right speaker?

My sony stereo has an ipod cable connected to the back which i hook my 32 gb ipod touch to. Just recently the stereo will mostly play the music through my right speaker, yet you can hear the music play very faintly from the left speaker. My left speaker isnt blown though, it plays music perfectly fine with the tuner and CDs.
What do you think the problem is? What should i do?
