my stereo is turning on by itself?

my stereo is about 3 years old, maybe 2 1/2 and i use it to play sound out of my computer with using an auxillary cable. Well right now it keeps switching inputs by itself, such as going from cpu sound, to tape sound, to am, to fm, to cd then plays the cd i have with 5 tracks on it. its been doing this for the past hour. what could cause this?
 
Well that happened to me but then I put all of the electronic stuff away and it came back to normal
If you okay something that involves a remote like helicopters and toy cars then that would turn on your stereo. That happened to me and I was freaked out !
