I think that both of my axles are going bad, driver and passenger sides. Could this be the problem? The whole car shakes when accelerating, as well as the steering wheel. BUT BUT, only sometimes this happens. It's not constant and persistent every time i drive. I hear something *pop* when i take off from a dead stop sometimes too, but that makes me think theres play somewhere (in the uv joints maybe?)

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE. I'm not desperate, i just want to see what some possibilities are.

the liklihood that both of your axels are bad without you fully knowing it is veru low. Unless you went off roading or jumped your car or something, i'd say your axels are okay. BUT! There's a chance that your Universal Joints could be bad, and would sound like a pop when you start moving (as they slide around). BUT! That wouldn't cause a shake. My first thought when you said that the car and wheel shake is that the balance weight on your wheels are off. This actually happened to a friend of mine, and whenever he got over 20mph, the steering wheel would go crazy (it was caused by spinning his wheels in the mud, which knocked off the balancers). My other Theory is your Power Steering pump, if that's gone bad any turning could cause the pump to shake and transmit that shaking all over your car.
