My adorable kitty, Chaos...female, 8 months, is usually not super-affectionate. She's friendly and likes to sleep with us or nap on the couch with us, but she doesn't enjoy petting (usually ducks away from it). She doesn't normally purr either. Lately she'll suddenly get super affectionate, rubbing against me and purring and rolling around and more rubbing...this lasts for a few minutes then she's back to normal. This has been going on for a few weeks now, mostly after the shower or after I dry my hair, but also randomly. She's even rubbing up against my german shepherd's face (he's confused but nice lol).

Anyone know why she's doing this? (I'm not worried but it's just weird that she randomly does this) She is spayed btw
nope, she was spayed before I got her, I think it was December

was she only recently spayed? This could be why. After they are spayed, they can be a bit different. I suggest contacting your vet.

I think all cats are a little moody. My cats have affectionate moods too. Then sometimes they want to be left alone. My girl cat rubs all over my hair after I get it cut or wash it or change it at all. I think they like new smells and new feels. It's just how cats are. Your cat's personality might go through some changes since she is still growing up and maturing. But anyway your cat is totally normal. :)
