my sony bravia 52" LCD TV changes screen ratio size when i change channel...?

52 inch (132 cm) BRAVIA 1080p HD W4000 LCD TV.

whenever i change channel it turns to 4:3,

to fill the screen i need it on wide. is there an option somewhere to make sure it doesn't change
