I see this dark angel
She’s chained to a wall
I see this dark angel
With nothing at all
Her eyes look downward
And I step forward
Narrow walls surround us two
“The people have forgotten you”
The words were spoken from myself
This dark angel looked not in health
Brown waves of hair were mangled and stressed
Holes and strings all over her dress
Cuts and bruises all up her thighs
And her knees were drawn up high
Sorrow, regret were in brown eyes
Broken lenses were on the ground
This dark angel made no sound
A light turned on
A name was called
I closed the mirror
Before I bawled
