6 months now? For about 6 months now my 3yr old has been coming up to me at different times of the day im going to say at least 6 times a day and says "mommy my belly hurts" he insists if he gets a snack or a drink it will make it better. So Ive basically always figured this was him trying to get some junk food! he has no other symptoms and does not act sick at all. Should I be concerned? Is it even possible to have a bellyache that many times a day for this long? or are my suspicions correct and he is just trying to scheme a snack out of me frequently throughout each day? He eats well he just likes his snacks

Maybe making healthy snacks like carrot sticks or apple slices an option for a week or two and see if the behavior changes at all. The best way to test that is to just maybe schedule in a snack or two and see if he is still mentioning bellyaches. Often preschoolers still need at least one snack a day because they have small stomaches and three regularly scheduled meals a day don't cut it for a hungry preschooler. Most daycares do snacktime after lunch- maybe that is a good time to try?

If you get concerned or it doesn't go away try call your pediatrician.
