My social is soon and i don't know how to ask girls if they want to dance,please help?

So I'm not going with anyone just to put that out there cuz it's only a social not a prom,so there's a few girls that I sometimes talk to but I'm not freinds with them so that's why I'm afraid and don't really know how to ask them,and I'm going to be really nervous,so do I just walk up to them and say hey,u look beutiful,wanna dance? So eat should I do?
