My sister tells me that I would like to add kelp to my underwater home garden

(she's right of course)? Right, so I've got some very large (long) tanks, and plenty of access to sea water, but I'm not sure how to grow the kelp. Does anyone know of a website or a specific book that details the process? I've seen kids4kelp, and the long beach aquarium websites, but neither actually explains how to properly gather the spores, grow them, and then maintain the kelp. Also, any references to reliable suppliers would be appreciated.
