my silly hubby has let my chrysler voyager run out of petrol. It is fuel injection ?

No, but if your Chrysler has some miles on it you may want to have the fuel filter changed. Cars with lots of miles often have rust or water in the bottom of the tank that will clog the fuel filter. If your car is relatively new you should be Okay.
 
i would get a fuel injector cleaner you might have sucked the garbage up on the bottom of the tank. Also after you put gas in it turn the key forward not all the way to start it just till all the lights come on and let the electric fuel pump fill your jets back up just a couple of minutes will be fine. Then start her up you will be fine.
 
You have a fuel injected vehicle unless your van is made before 1992.
This will not typically cause any problems as the fuel lines inside the tank do not draw fuel in from the lowest point inside the tank.

This is designed to prevent moisture, which is heavier than fuel, from being drawn into the fuel lines as well as any possible debris.

The fuel pick-up tube inside the tank typically sits about 6-10 millimeters off the tank's bottom point.
