my sidekick 09 wont turn on why?

out of no where its just went black and turned off.
i tried take out the battery and putting it back it but that didnt do a thing.
when i plug it in the charger the little orange light goes on but nothing else.
i tried turning it on after a few minutes and nothing happened either.
why?
 
mines just happened, i had it on the usb for some time & was using it at the same time & the screen just turnt back, it wouldnt turn back on. i took the battery out & put it back in & nothing happen, when i put it on the usb the orange light goes on, and thats about it. i dont know whats wrong with it! do i need a new battery?!
