My Semi formal (homecoming) is in a month...?

Semi Formal is like prom for grade elevens. It is kind of a big deal. I had an image, white dress, red shoes and accessories. I went shopping, and went to a few stores, and i don't like the white dresses, then i saw a zebra dress. Should i get a zebra dress, and wear red shoes and stuff, or should i just get something else.

AND is it appropriate to wear a zebra dress to a wedding? I don't want to steal the brides colour, but does zebra pattern really do that?
 
Do not get a zebra print dress!! aah.. they look so cheap and like what a hooker would wear.. stay classy and go with your first idea. and no zebra at a wedding is bad too.. it's distracting and tacky! i have seen cute zebra dresses but not for this formal dance.. i would go with your gut you will feel most confident in that!
