My Sega Saturn's 4 in 1Action Replay Plus will not work with D&D: Shadow Over

Mystara. What is the problem? After the game boots I see the Capcom logo, and then it just craps out to a screen with japanese text. How do I fix this? Is the ram not working? My system is a US one using the cart to play imports.
