My samsung external HD is detected by the system, but cannot be seen on my computer.

Can someone help me? I used my Samsung portable S2 320GB once. After that, I never used it again until now. The problem is that my laptop recognizes it but it is not shown on my computer. Please help me. I don't care about the files in it as long as it becomes usable again. Thanks guys!
