my samsug rant wont charge! HELP?

every time i plug in my rant it goes to the SAMSUG sign and the lights on the keys flicker on and off. i tried changing the location of the charger, nothing. i tried shoving the charger in further. and its been doing it for the last few minutes. i need HELP.
 
maybe your charger blew or have a shortage take it and your phone to the place you bought it from and ask them if they can do something or buy another charger..that or your battery is blown too like if you use your phone while it's charging that can mess up your battery
