So I've been cooking my brown jasmine rice for 30 min and it won't get soft. The expiration date isn't for another few months and i've cooked almost this whole bag of rice and this has never happened. What is wrong with my rice. If my rice so happens to be old will it not cook?
My rice has plenty of water i have even been adding water as it gets low so that it can cook
head up...i did all this...double the water, boiled first, brought to a simmer...I guess I should just ask if when rice is old does it just not cook. It's been cooking for a while now and it's almost as hard as when it is dry. Trust me I know how to cook rice I've been doing it every night for the last year.
