my remote stopped working for my locks on my 1999 ford escort se i tested it at

a store remote works any ideas? it just stopped working one day i replaced battery the remote works on the tester but the buttons do nothing for the locks panic or trunk help!
 
Maybe it isn't seeing the sensor or vice versa. Probably need to contact a repair place to see if you can get it tested.
