...stuff....what is WRONG? I had my cat groomed at the vet yesterday and today he had red rash patched on his haunches. I have had him shaved there before a number of times and this has never happened.

Is it burns from the razor? What do I do to treat them? I have an appointment set up for Monday, but what do I do in the meantime? I don't want to oozing all over the house, so I have him penned up in a room with water, food, litter and a cozy little bed. He is happy there for now. They are in very difficult places and I can't just cover them with a bandage as they are on his haunches by his hind legs.

Please help!!!! He doesn't like me to touch them, so they must hurt. They have a wet sticky feel and the skin is reddish underneath. I tried to wash it off with warm water, to no avail......

ANYONE have any thoughts???

dont leave it alone because it could b serious. Go to ur local petstore. I recommend petsmart or petco and bring ur cat with u to show wat happened. make sure u bring gloves just in case the employee need to look deeper into the fur. it could be infection frm dirty razorz, tetnis from rusty blades,or rash due to allergy of some shampoo or etc
hope i helped
