I did some research online and I know that it is a very bad sign if a rabbit does not eat or poop/urinate for more than 4-8 hours. Two days ago, we moved our rabbit from the basement of the house to the first floor in order to get her ready for the winter. However, she has not used her litterbox since yesterday, and she has ceased to eat (except for a couple of treats we gave her). Since this drastic change happened after we moved her, I am fairly certain that her loss of appetite is due to environmental changes (she is also very skittish and hides all the time).
What should I do? We have tried offering her foods all day but she is not interested. We can't afford a vet, but I keep reading about how fatal it is for a rabbit to stop eating or defecating. Help!
