Well, the smell is coming from underneath the handlebars where the ignition is and it's just really hot air that's coming up fast, no smoke but really smells bad enough to be concerned that something might happen while I ride it. Should I just wait until morning and then check it out? It's a 2003 Suzuki Z400 if that helps any.
And, when I got off of it from mudding I got out the small electric pressure washer for the tires only which took about five minutes to set up (I was aware not even to spray to fenders or anything ONLY the tires). I realized after just a few seconds of rinsing off the tire that I should let it cool for a few minutes so I waited about 45 minutes or so. But then thought I'd just put it up for the night so I started it up, sounded fine and rode it slow to the garage, when I got off of it that's when I started to smell it and it wasn't from the exhaust I know that because it was from up front through the handlebars where the ignition is.
