My quad muscles get really tight whenever I sprint...help!?

I can jog, run and stride, but I just can't sprint. My quad muscles starting feeling really really tight and they hurt so bad I can't sprint fast and I can barely even finish a 100m. Today before practice, I heated my quads and stretched them out for almost forty minutes, then went out to run some 100s with my team. I could only finish one. Any ideas? Thanks (:
