Diesel is a two and a half month old German Shepherd. He will not stop whining! He whines while he's eating, he whines while he's going to the bathroom, he whines when i hold him, he whines when he's playing...I'm at a loss. He also whines and barks all night in his crate. He has a stuffed animal and a couple of really soft blankets in there with him. I've tried just ignoring him, but he continues nonstop for hours. We've even tried covering the cage and leaving a radio on. I know he's just a puppy and that whining is normal, but I don't think THIS much whining is normal. Also, when we pick him up to take him out to the bathroom, he "screams" like someone is torturing him. Same thing when we try to put his leash on him. He also won't eat if I'm not in the room with him. I've tried just leaving and coming back a few minutes later and putting away what he didn't eat, thinking that he'd learn that he needs to eat while the food is there, but it isn't working. I've searched for answers and tried everything that I've found, but nothing seems to be working. Any ideas?
we've had him for a week. he was the last puppy they had there, so he's been separated from the litter for awhile. he's been to the vet and the vet says there is absolutely nothing wrong with him; he's as healthy as can be. it hasn't stopped and then started again; it's constant. the only time he doesn't whine is when he's asleep.
