It's funny to watch them too. Mine used to put her kibble on the floor beside her bowl, sometimes she would dump it in the water bowl or try to get water in her food dish.

A lot of dogs, mainly small dogs, but many will do this. It's just a personality quirk. I assume it's instinctual where a dog will take some of a kill and leave with it before the rest of the back can get theirs. When they finish their portion they'll go back for more if they are hungry. It's not abnormal at all.

I have a Rottweiler mixed with pitbull puppy..he is roughly about 14 weeks old and he has gone to the vet to get all his shots...but when i feed him eaither in his cage or not,he will pick up some of his kibbles n' bits than bring it over the his bed in his cage or the living room carpet and eat then than go back for more and do the same thing...does anyone know why he does this?

Lots of dogs do that. But, if you're truly feeding Kibbles N Bits, that food is garbage.

Try a really good food for your dog such as Wellness, Canidae, Merrick, Blue Buffalo, Taste of the Wild, Blue Wilderness, Halo, Innova, Origen, etc.

i have four dogs and they all do that occasionally. it's not a bad thing, don't worry. sometimes it's just a comfort thing.(:
