...lot. Help!? My figure 8 puffer hasn't been much eating for about 2 weeks. I've been trying to feed him freeze dried blood worms and krill. I bought him about 3 weeks ago along with another figure 8 puffer who is doing fine and eating a ton. My nitrite, nitrate and pH levels are fine and my temp. is about 80. He is in a freshwater tank. He is very lifeless and drifts around the tank only moving his fins occasionally. There is a small pink spot on his side right by his gill that wasn't there yesterday. I was thinking maybe the other puffer attacked him?
I was just looking at him and one of his fins on his side isn't moving. He is using all of his other fins to get around but not that one. I think that might be why he is always on his side.

He might have disease, but if you keep a clean tank and don't have cheap feeder fish then I don't see why that would happen. I would search fish diseases or puffer fish diseases ,and see if any of the results look like your fish. Have you got any new fish lately besides the other puffer? how big is the tank?

figure 8s are brakish fish they need to be in brakish water or they will not live long, they must have snails to eat or there teeth will grow too bigg and kill them, they grow quite large and need large tanks, especiall for two as they are very territorial and aggressive
