My poor rat...

One of my rats has a SERIOUS ulcer in her eye, it is all red and it is bugging out about three times as much as it should. She also cannot see out of it, and just looking at her in this state makes me want to cry. I love animals, and I hate to see them in pain; it affects me so much more than a human...

UPDATE: I'm crying right now...
 
No, they make eye drops for them. I saw it on Animal Planet's Emergency Vets. It's also the exact same medication used to treat humans.
 
gah! good luck with that, my rat had a bigass tumour and died... i came home from school one day and the other rat had chewed on its head :( :thumbsdn:
 
Yeah i hope the best for your wee rat. :thumbsup: I hope it gets much better. It sound terrible how you described it :frown:

I really want a rat!..but my dad won't get one for me :sad: because we move so much.
 
Actually, it isn't. Rats tolerate change MUCH more than other pets...In fact, they get a kick out of trying new things.

It's great to see you like rats too, Car. Everyone thinks they are so seething and evil, but they are so cute and soft and sweet.

Just kidding, my sister has got some hamsters here, that i dont really care much about, they are just little balls of fur...

I'm a dog lover more than anything. Put me in a room with a dog and I'll be entertained for hours. Great animals, dogs are truly man's best friend.
