An Utter Farce
Stand before the court
eyeing the jury, dressed
in finery and the lawyer
all doled up in casaul
wear.
The crimes are read,
one by one, the Jury
sardonic grin. Peace
they claim, evil they
show.
Your lawyer stands,
his hand a joker.
"I denouce my client,
he's ignored or forgotten us all."
A riotous anger wriths
the crowd, and each
dagger inflicts scars.
The judge slams the gavel,
"Order, order. Now son,
choose now, quit standing
on the fence."
Standing now before the
court, speaking out, "Either
way I choose, it leads
to guilty call from another.
Either way, this whole
trial a farce, for the
conclusion of it
will always
be and is
prison."
