I had to write a poem for english class and it had to be a Petrarchan, or Italian, sonnet. I don't really write poetry so did I do it correctly? and what do you think of the poem?
She had an impish smile and long blonde hair
Her little leg screams and shouts out in pain
It carried her out through her last refrain
She was quickly taught that life isn’t fair
Why should someone’s forever end at ten
Why should children have to live their nightmares
As death steals away the life their lungs bare
She lay to rest as her heart says amen
How can you miss someone you haven’t met
Though you can feel as your souls intertwine
And see her blue eyes sparkle in the sky
As I live I remember her flourish
And attempt to aggrandize her caring
For my forever her heart I’ll carry
