my period is now 11 day's late, i had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago?

for the past week i have been feeling cramps and like twitters in my stomach and my breasts are a little sore.. but today i took a pregnancy test and it was negative.. i have never been pregnant before and i wasnt trying, could it be to soon to test or could it be because i took a dollar store test?
