my period is 7 days late, negative pregnancy test at 5 days late....?

i went to the dr. at 5 days late to see what was causing it, and i have a possible urinary tract infection, today makes 7 days late and still no sign of AF. Could i still be pregnant, or can a urinary tract infection make your period late? any feedback would be appreciated!
