Hi,
I'm 14 this year, and in March on the 26th is the Sydney Hyde Park Zombie Walk. It starts at 3:30pm and ends at 5:00pm. It starts in Hyde Park, and takes a route around Sydney, and ends in Hyde Park. So, here's the thing. My mum previously said it was STUPID and POINTLESS. Now she's saying it sounds like so much fun, and we should do it. THEN she says no, that it's pointless, that I'm not allowed to go until I'm 18 and I could DIE doing it. By either being A. Hit by a car. B. Hit by a bus. C. Shot. ?!
I told her really calmly that it's not after dark, it's not far away, and it's not on a school night. And that I don't mind if she even came with me, but she'd have to dress up, (Which she loves anyway!)
But no, I'm too young. I even told her that police patrol the March.
I'm not one of those teenagers who go off without their parents knowing where they are, I don't do irresponsible things, I've never taken drugs or alcohol in my entire life.
And it's the day before my birthday. And all I wanted was for this to be a kind of a present for me, because I would love to have fun.
How can I convince my mum, she doesn't trust me?
