My parent's dog just died all of a sudden. She peed, whined in pain, and just...

...fell over.? She was completely normal just a few minutes before she died. My dad came home and she ran to the kitchen to greet him, like she always does, and she wagged her tail and was so excited. Then all of a sudden, she peed on the floor, winced in pain, and fell over. What could have caused this?
 
My mum works at a retirement village, and this happens a lot when people die.
Their bladder goes, and then their may be pain, their may not, and then they die.
Was she old? It was probably just of old age. It's pretty normal in people deaths.
