Her name is Hadara, and well I've had her for a month. She's pretty timid, and has been since day one. She'll sit on my finger, or perch where ever I place her, but she wont do anything else, just sit there. In her cage, if she moves at all, its to sit somewhere else or to eat or drink, and nibble on her millet. when she's out she doesn't do anything, wont' play wont sing to me when I sing to her. Sometimes she'll softly click her beek but thats it. she has chirped on her own before, like once she was in the kitchen with my bf and she chirped, and once she was in the kitchen and I was cleaning and cooking dinner, when the frying pan sizzled loudly, she'd chirp. I read somewhere that you can bond more with your parakeet if you shower with them, so I tried to once. First she was scared and flew off my finger to the bottom of the bathtub, but once I got her up above the shower curtains she started chirping. I'm not sure if she's chirping cuz she's happy or if she's scared. sometimes when I go to get her out of her cage or to pet her a little, she'd squawk. or when she flies away from me and land somewhere where i have to get her out, like behind the tv stand, she's squawk at me trying to get her. Idk what to do. She's very timid. how can I get her to play? get her to lighten up a little? She trusts me, I know, she likes me....most of the time, but she just doesn't do anything rambunctious like i've heard parakeets do. I mean, my bf just got a new parakeet the other day, Digit, and he's more rambunctious than she and has more personality. When I first got hadara she was scared sure, but she was on my finger and letting me pet her within 2 days. HELP
