I have an outdoor faucet that is leaking heavily and causing a horrible hissing sound inside the house because the water is constantly running. I am unable to easily turn off the water going to the faucet itself, there is no basement. I have turned the water for the entire house of several time and attempted to replace the washer several different times. Each time though the problem remains. It is starting to consume me and I am too stubborn to call a plumber for something so simple! Is it possible that there is a deeper issue or am I just simply messing up the task of replacing the washer?
