My nitro amp turns on but the subs dont play at all.?

when i turn on my jeep, my new JVC KD-HDR30 it will power up and signal the amp to turn on and on the amp it has a little lcd light that will either stay green which means everything is fine and there is power on it or will stay red which means it is in protect mode. Mine on the other hand will stay red for a second than turn off and the amp is on but the subs (pioneer premier champion series 10") will not start to play! what do i do please help.
 
okay this means your amp does have a signal and is telling you its in protect mode. it may be turning off because of something wrong in your wiring which could potentially damage it if left on. So check the wires and see if any got pinched or are touching each other and then check your fuse on the amp and the inline fuse to the battery.
