My Next Cricket Hijack

Hi, all!

I'm in the market for a new backup phone. I have two Cricket lines and one is parked on a measly Kyocera KX9 (pure CRAP). Don't get me wrong, I'm spoiled on my vx6700.

Money is no object.

The phone must have some cool look or form factor about it. Media playback capability is a MUST HAVE, as is a camera. Size doesn't matter if features are there. Other plusses: External storage, touchscreen, camera flash.

Again, the main thing is a cool looking phone that most people may not have already. I'm spoiled on my xv6700 which is the perfect corabination of looks and brains and now I want a phone that is more on looks alone.

What I DON'T want:
--Motorola RAZR, SLVR, RIZR
--NO Palm devices/phones

I have considered so far:
--LG enV vx9900
--Motorola MING
--Sanyo M1
--Motorola KRZR (Red)

Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated! I just need to be steered in the right direction
 
I'll cast a vote for that EnV (I know it's already on your list.)... My sister wants one, but they're a little too expensive on ebay currently, so she's waiting... I haven't found anything else that really strikes my fancy at all.
 
Yeah, the enV would be in my top 5 possible choices.

Also, I'm highly impressed with the Helio Ocean but don't have the patience for it to wait for it to come to market.
 
Ilike the helio stuff.. I actually seriously considered switching to helio or amp'd a few months back, but couldn't quite justify the higher rates. If they'd been around $80 for unlimited, I doubt if I'd be here right now.
 
I vote the enV so when you hack it i have directions to follow! haha. I have a enV sitting here on my desk brand new, waiting to be hack, i just dont know how to get anything else working on it sides calls and texts.
 
I have the env on a cricket line. I also have a spare just sitting around (brand new in the box for sale ;) , if ur interested. but there isnt any hacks as to how to get MMS and the wap thing to work. I also have a LG vx9800 with tons of games, just wish I could transfer them to my env., but still no way. I still vote the env, just for the qwerty keyboard and stereo mp3 player. I the video player is kinda cool to. like a portable dvd player. watch ur favorite movies on the go with the 2 gig mini sd memory card. Just my opinion though. :2thurabs:
 
Have any of you seen the U740? That way better than the Env. Go to Verizon and check it out. I have on cricket for 2 week love it U740 will beat the heck out of the env in any form, Razr slim qwerty key board stereo mp3 external check it out. I show it to many peple and 80% of peple said "no ****" you know what i mean. Go check it out yourself
 
The LG AX8600 looks like a pretty sweet phone as well.. it's so new that you'll have a hard time getting one though.. they're not even on ebay yet w/ service contracts.
