RFG,
How good are those driving lights compared to the stock HD models that come on the ultras? I was thinking of swapping if visibility was better. Thanks...

No sweat on link - was curious and in the market myself. WRT the E3s, yep - steers good.

Last year and a couple of weeks after I ditched the white sides on the old RK, a neighbor kid (crotch rocket type) came over and remarked, "Wow, no chicken strips". The E3s do work good and wear good too. They'll be my replacements on this new scoot when the time comes.

ETA: I was rude and failed to respond - you're welcome

They are brighter. My buddy has a 99 Fatboy with the stock HD on his and before I put miy HID in mine lit up the road a bit better. Do I think it's worth the $299.99 to switch if you have the HD ones? No. But if it's a styling thing than yes. I love the clean lines and the bullet style.

I get high beams flashed at me to the point I know I;m noticed. Day and night. With this HID if I go to the high beam it dims and goes yellow like a stock light. Which I like. Riding tight roads in teh dark I want to be seen but not blind oncoming traffic which is also unsafe. I dont want to cause an accident. Next thing ya know we'll have a bill about bright lights on the Governers desk..

I leave the driving lights on all the time though. They are more directional. The HID in a stock bucket just throws light everywhere.. And it's likely the reason it's illegal in some places.

Thanks GG..

Also Dooinit2u,

I dont know what bulb options you have with yours but these take an H3 bulb. And thay have some seriously obnoxios bulbs that will go in them..

Heres stock with the driving lights... Notice they are brighter than the stock light.. My friends running lights are the same brightness as his headlight.

Heres the HID with them.

With the HID I put out one big glow when you see me coming, before you seen 3 lights. With the driving lights being brighter.
