I got a new job at Macy's i am working when store is closed with about 20 people. My manger is really cool lady BUT she is the manger and should have a plan set for me. i walked in today (my first day and im the only new one) she doesnt have any plans for me. she just kinda threw me in the crowd with NO ONE to train with. i am non stop bugging other employees because i do not know what i am doing! i keep asking my manger and she just said she was sorry and she knows the other employees are being rude. i feel sooo out of place. i want to like this job, i need the money but i feel like i am no help to them. i am a VERY good worker if i know the job but no one is teaching me anything. they are just telling me what to do but not telling me why i have to or need to do this. i am not looking forward to my next day on the job, what should i do???
i mean they didnt even have a orientation or anything. the didnt tell me when my pay days are where i clock in or how. i didnt even know that i needed a code to get in the door. luckily i got there the same time as someone or i wouldnt of gotten in!
they told me it was break time right, so i went to break 15min then i went back to work where we left off. i couldnt find the team! its a big store and no one else is in the building and once i found them they said me to ... you are suppose to meet here after break always. i didnt know. its my first day no one said anything to me. i feel so lost. i am a good worker but i just dont know what to do. how can i help them when no one is teaching me anything.....
