...don't seem wise? Has anyone had some good thoughts about it, besides it's cheaper? Does it burn faster? Disadvantages vs. advantages please. I can buy it for $1.29 in my area and wondering if it's worth it.
 
Ethanol 85 will run in your engine without any real problems, but at a lower efficiency than pure gasoline. Typically you will lose ~30-40% in terms of raw mileage if you fun E85. Compare the cost and effort from more frequent fill ups to running straight gas.

Some consideration should be given to the cooler running temperature that the higher concentration of Ethanol will give to your engine. If you live in a hot environment and have ready access to cheap E85 then it may make sense.
